Getting a start on hand-writing the many many Thank You cards, we owe our loving family and friends! Because we haven't moved to our new place yet, we sent our registry gifts to my parents' house... and because we are SO LOVED, we haven't even gotten a chance to take inventory! Super excited to finally get some time to just, open gifts and nest. So grateful for the overwhelming love during this time in our lives. Undoubtedly, God is good. ... View the Post
Party Favors, Celebrating Baby K!
I think my life calling, just perhaps might be coordinating party favors. This is one of my most favorite parts of any party/event! Wanted something fun, food or candy-related, and I just could not resist the mini gumball machines! (She's ready to pop! Get it?!) I did read online that the gum that came with the dispensers were McNasty, so I opted to buy them empty and fill them myself. Erm... although I wasn't entirely sure how many gumballs I would need, I went a bit overboard with around 6lbs ... View the Post
Strawberry Sponge Cake, Celebrating Baby K!
My dear friend and 언니, Haegyung, bakes the most fluffliest, friendliest, happiest sponge cakes– frosted with the most darling, lightest pastry cream. I had her bake one for the shower, despite the over hour away drive in the 85+ degree heat... It still made it there beautifully. I topped it myself, with a few fresh flowers and just love how it turned out! ... View the Post
Drink Labels, Celebrating Baby K!
Drinks always seem to get mixed up in large groups, so I thought a fun way to identify your cup, was with a customized label for each guest. Each label included a “toy” that I picked out especially for you :) Most of the fun straws came from an Etsy shop, a variety of colors and prints (the rest I had a random mix leftover from other parties!). We had Black Iced Tea & Lemonade, Sparkling Wine and Sparkling Cider for the Mommy-to-be. ... View the Post
Bagel Bar, Celebrating Baby K!
No-cook, No-hassle, bagel bar for our baby shower guests. We ordered bagels, freshly-baked from my favorite shop, The Bagel Hole (which is located in our new home-to-be, Princeton, NJ). Along with salmon & lox, proscuitto & salami, and various veggies. 4 spreads made in-house at the Bagel Hole: plain, walnut & raisin, lox, and vegetable. And, I threw together a bow-tie pasta salad (my usual for potlucks and large crowds): shrimp, heirloom tomatoes, asparagus, mixed greens, topped ... View the Post
Jo & Dave’s Straw Flags Escort Cards
With personalized beer tumblers as their wedding favors, these straw flags were perfectly appropriate for Jo & Dave's wedding escort cards. After some experimenting I went for full sheets of adhesive paper vs. tape glue or other options. The bridesmaids will be assembling these on their own, and the simplest, fool-proof method was the way to go. I did include an instructional card, that paper is sticky and messing up wouldn't be an option! Anyhow, these were super fun to make, and thanks Jo ... View the Post
