Of course, I heard it was common in infants, and I’ve heard stories of how horrible it could be, "but not my baby", is honestly what I thought. (How naive, now being a mom for over a year. Lol. Nothing is off limits!) I think the hardest part, is feeling – helpless. When you know it is no longer in your power, and the best you can do, is make your baby feel as comfortable as possible, and wait it out. I'm prompted to write this entry, after battling eczema for 10 months and just won a bout with ... View the Post
Anna’s Montessori-inspired Playspace
I first started looking into this idea, as a way to extend play-time. At 5 months or so, Anna was picking things up here and ignoring things in other places, our tiny apartment was a mess, etc. I felt like if she had a more centralized play area she would enjoy her toys more, and stay occupied longer. God Bless America
Mommy drove you home from Grandpa’s last night, and in that 2 minute drive, we had a little pep talk. I started off by explaining that Daylight Savings and the rainy weather made it much darker than normal back there. Then, I went on by saying how today, was the day after Election Day 2016. It’s been the most difficult year– ever; physically, mentally, emotionally. It’s been a test to my marriage, my family, my career– myself. But, after all is said and done, undeniably, it has been, the BEST. Anna, one day you may read this, and that is why I am hesitant to blog about my worries, fears, joys, and successes– now that God has brought you into ... View the Post

Anna’s Birth Story
October 6th. Mommy & Daddy take a trip to Terhune Orchards. Donuts and cider, because I knew it wasn't the day. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Nothing. Not even a hiccup. <1 inch dilated. They schedule an induction for the upcoming week. Oh wait, they want to do it a day earlier. Tuesday, it was set. But, Saturday rolls around. I start feeling the most faint, ever so slight, teeny pangs here and there. I didn't tell anyone. Grandma took us shopping, Marshalls, I think. I told Daddy when he ... View the Post
